1. What areas on the island of Maui can you broadcast from?
Any site Island wide with access to T-1, Cable modem, DSL or wireless
I have a personal 802.11G WI-FI system to extend a location with wired network outdoors.
Currently I can broadcast to West Maui beaches,
South Maui beaches,
Central Maui,
Numerous parts of Upcountry
The average 3GPP cellphone/computer feed is 100kbps
2. Is this LIVE and in real time as the wedding is happening or is it V.O.D.?
We can broadcast live from 56kbps up to 256kbps
since real time video is referred to as 30 frames per second our frame rates
on broadband streams average 8-15 fps and include clear audio.
For clients with T-1 access we can encode the wedding video 320X240 @ 1Mbps
then place your video on our QuickTime server and it will stream as VOD at 29-30fps
We can also support Near Video On Demand since VOD is again 30 frames per second
3. How many users can I accommodate in a live webcast?
with a custom price quote up to 1000 unicast locations worldwide
4. Can I place banner advertising on the pages while the webcast is going?
If you utilize our service you can email me the code I could assist in the placement for you.
5. Is their a live chat function where we could communicate with our relatives live from the wedding site?
We can support videoconference up to 8 remote locations using iVisit software and our private chat room.
6. What does the $500.00 dollars include? How much more expensive can it get?
$500 US is the deposit required to secure the date of your wedding broadcast based on average of 20 or less online wedding guests.
Wedding coordinatoors who book our services will generally add a 15% service charge.
Please note this is a non comercial fundraising activity, your contributions fund our non profit environmental online education
and depending on your requirements we can deliver you a quote to suite your needs and budget.
7. You advertise webcast and V.O.D. at 256kbps or higher None of my relatives have a download
rate of 256kbps nor does most of the residential DSL or Cable population. Do you
accommodate a lower bandwidth? If so what is the download rates you encode to?
Our single stream rates available in QuickTime can go as low as 28Kbps for audio only and up to 250Kbps and
can accommodate up to 1000 remote locations.
8. Do I have to choose Quick Time or any of the other players exclusively or can my viewers
chose any of the three available during a live webcast?
We specialize in QuickTime broadcasting
If a VOD client requests a combination of boadband and low bit rates in QuickTime we could encode
multiple bitrates and stream them from our playlists .
9. How many live real time web casts have you done?
Since 1996 I have been a technology test pilot and a research partner with SGI computer
company testing MediaBase Video software now owned by Kasenna so I have initiated over
100 live broadcasts.
I currently have an agreement with Hyatt Regency for live Internet wedding ceremonies and
completed the first live QuickTime wedding using Maui Sky Fiber wireless technology in

Do you have any references or referrals other than on your web site?
Sure I have been broadcasting for years at Maui Research and Technology Center.
