](http://www.drc-group.com/project/footprint.html)Its 2:45AM Hawaii Standard Time and and my Macintosh computer’s application Awaken is set to go off. From deep sleep I hear a faint Cuckoo clock going off in the computer lab in the other room. Jump out of bed, feed the Siamese cat who is growling like a tiger sleeping next to me in its travel carrier, make a cold cup of Chai tea loaded with black tea and put waffles in toaster and microwave some frozen blueberries as a topping. Ok now its time to jump on the computer and login to the onyx system to participate in Formidable Footprint – A Neighborhood Tabletop Exercise – Earthquake. First problem of the day I cannot login so I reset the password and then login using the same password emailed to me. I was warned i had to use Internet Explorer to participate Internet Explorer is only available for Windows, not Mac. If you have to use a webpage that requires Internet Explorer, you can use compatibility mode: 1. Go to Safari > Preferences > Advanced and tick Show Develop menu in menu bar. 2. Open Develop > User Agent and press Internet Explorer 9 (Windows). If it doesn’t help, buy Windows 7 or 8 and install it in VMware Fusion, Parallels Desktop, VirtualBox or through Apple Boot Camp. Ha I totally forgot about that and went through the entire exercise in standard Safari 6.03. Having a wide-band Internet Cable service has its advantages 50Mbit/sec down 5Mbit/sec up Most of the questions that came up during the excercise I either had to reference my documentation on hand or look stuff up on the net.
