The Perseids have arrived; the most robust meteor shower of the year.
The Peak dates are Aug. 11, 12, 13 …… the later in the night the better.

Come join the Maui Astronomy Club for meteor counting and some star gazing
on SUNDAY, AUGUST 12 at the Lahaina Animal Farm across from Launiupoko Beach Park.

This is such a special place with beautiful views and adorable animals so come around sunset if you wish.
Meteors are best witnessed later in the evening, closer to midnight, so stay as long as you can.

Gathering times between 7:30pm – 2am.

This is a farm so dress appropriately.

Bring a sleeping bag to lay out under the stars.
Bring dinner and snacks and your own beverages.
Bring a flashlight.

Please be responsible for your own trash – – there are few trash receptacles.
